The group consists of Emily Herndon whose sweet voice, powerful lyrics and eloquent guitar playing drive the dynamic relationship between the spirit that moves and the soul that listens, and classically trained (at Berklee College of Music) multi-instrumentalist and vocalist  Asha Sukumar whose creative talent was observed and harbored since the age of three. Throughout her formative years Asha continued to garner a great deal of musical experience in a myriad of styles; Western Classical music, vocal training in classical South Indian, jazz, pop and R&B and participated in the renowned California Youth Symphony for seven years.  We highly recommend that you give them a listen! The MHM-AP1 Universal Acoustic Pickup allows the user to amplify nearly any acoustic instrument or vibrating surface with astounding clarity. Reproducing the subtle, natural nuances of an instrument are often difficult without the use of a high quality microphone, but being able to freely move about in the studio or on stage is also important. The MHM-AP1 pickup allows the individual to obtain that clean, unaltered natural tone without the burden of being tied to one location. The mandolin pictured belongs to Asha Sukumar of the Los Angeles based band “May Stands Still” who is using the MHM-AP1 pickup in the recording studio while working on their new sophomore album due out in the fall of 2012.

The four-band equalizer provides the user with a relatively simple and straightforward interface for blending bass, treble, middle and presence, catering to each players personal preferences and allowing the user to tailor his or her sound to their instrument.

“The Mojo” – the MDM-I employs an entirely different technology from standard stompboxes currently on the market. We do not use any piezo’s in our stompboxes. After rigorous testing we found that while piezo transducers do lend themselves as wonderful triggers, they tend to be rather unruly; causing feedback with regard to proximity of the amplifiers, loss of signal strength through longer cables, grounding issues, durability and ultimately the inability to achieve low frequency output to the amplifiers. Mojohound Music Co. has stepped up the game, so-to-speak, with our innovative new take on pickups/receivers for stompboxes.
